Objective:

The Workflow Coordinator works closely with the Production Manager and Production Floor Leads to provide organizational support and efficient production practices on the floor daily. This person should be able to ensure a smooth transition of work from cutting to staging through to the production floor, maintain equipment, maintain an organized staging workspace, and support the floor leads in ensuring consistent work for all production staff. A successful Workflow Coordinator will be recognized as a leader on the floor and as a key factor in our team’s operational success.

Essential functions:

• Oversee organization of work entering production
• Create and follow standardized troubleshooting procedures to ensure quality
• Ensure organization of production workspace to eliminate chaos
• Work with Floor Leads to make a continuous effort to improve efficiency of workflow and staging
• Work with Floor Leads to identifying challenges and offering innovative ideas to overcome obstacles. Solution based problem solving.
• Follow direction of Production Manager for setup and layout of floor when needed, including moving machines to accommodate a new flow for production
• Work consistently with Production Manager to know what the production schedule entails and prepare for upcoming projects
• Complete end of day duties: breakdown boxes, move all trash to designated area, bring all unused raw goods to Inventory Coordinator’s table, move machines as needed to accommodate Production Manager’s floor map
• Assisting with leading the floor to cover absences and share overtime responsibilities among leadership team

Job Operations:

• Organize cut parts from cutting department to go onto floor
• Communicate with Operations Manager to ensure proper flow of work going into production; issue cut parts to Production Floor Lead as needed and communicate the day’s work. Work closely with Production Floor Lead to ensure the proper work flow is being followed.
• Issue prep work to Floor Lead and take back when completed
• Ensure marking pocket placements, grommeting is completed in a timely manner
• Review upcoming production calendar and plan ahead for what raw materials will be needed in the coming weeks of production
• Create daily pull sheet for Inventory Coordinator to pull all necessary goods for next day’s production and create any ‘kits’ that are needed for following day's production
• Meet with Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager weekly to discuss production for following week and ensure we have all necessary goods
• Meet with Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager at end of every month to review next month’s production and necessary raw materials to complete production
• Identify and organize extra cut parts; communicate with cutting department on immediate needs; create clearly defined space for the storage of extra parts
• Cut missing parts and sample garments
• Organize any materials not used in production in designated area for Inventory Coordinator to return to inventory daily
• Assist with prep work if time allows
• Ensure cut parts are ready for production
• Communicate with cutting department on order of cuts
• Continuously work on process improvement

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, push, pull and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. may be required.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
